12 Years of Toronto Real Estate
Here's a snapshot of the past 12 years of residential resale activity in the Greater Toronto Area as reported by TREB Market Watch. My crystal ball is in for repair.... but this look back at the past 12 years of activity might give a glimpse of what the future holds. 2007 still holds the record for the highest number of residential resale transactions, and 2011 came on strong to now sit in 2nd. Average sale price has gone from $228K in 1999 to $465K in 2011. Average home prices have gained every single year over the past 12, from "just barely" in 2008, to near double digits in 2002 + 2010. What does your crystal ball say for 2012, 2013.... and so on?
